Orthodontics — braces and aligners at DentClinic

Why correct your bite

Crooked teeth aren't just an aesthetic issue. A bad bite leads to faster enamel wear, jaw joint problems, headaches, hygiene difficulties and, as a result, cavities and gum disease.

Aligned teeth are easier to clean, less prone to cavities, and the load is distributed evenly — so the teeth last longer.

Good news There is no age limit for orthodontics. Modern technology lets us straighten teeth at 30 — and at 50.

The types of braces we offer

Metal braces

The most affordable and effective option. Suitable for complex cases. Visible on the teeth.

Ceramic braces

Tooth-coloured — visible only up close. Same effectiveness as metal.

Sapphire braces

Transparent and almost invisible. The premium segment of aesthetic braces.

Lingual braces (Incognito)

Mounted on the inner side of the teeth — completely invisible from the outside.

Aligners — the invisible alternative

Transparent trays that fit over the teeth and gradually align them. Replaced every 1–2 weeks. Main advantages:

  • Practically unnoticeable to others
  • Removed for eating and brushing
  • No dietary restrictions
  • Fewer visits to the doctor (every 2–3 months)

We work with Invisalign (the world leader) and Star Smile (a budget alternative).

How treatment works

  1. Consultation and diagnostics. 3D scan, CT, photo protocol.
  2. Treatment plan. Digital simulation of the result — you see how the teeth will look afterwards.
  3. System placement. Braces are bonded to the teeth / you receive your set of aligners.
  4. Check-ups. Braces — every 4–6 weeks; aligners — every 2–3 months.
  5. Removal and retention. After alignment — fitting of retainers (a thin wire on the inside) so the teeth don't shift back.

Average treatment time — 12 to 24 months, depending on case complexity.

Frequently asked questions

What age should treatment start?
First visit to the orthodontist — at 6–7 years old, to assess bite development. Active treatment with braces — usually from 11–12 years. There is no age limit for adults.
Braces or aligners — which is better?
Braces are more effective in complex cases and cost less. Aligners are more comfortable, more aesthetic and easier to maintain, but they are not suitable for very complex cases. The final choice is made after a consultation.
Is it painful?
The placement itself — no. For the first 3–5 days after fitting and after each adjustment, the teeth may "ache" — that's normal and is relieved with regular painkillers.
Can I eat anything with braces?
There are restrictions with braces: hard foods (nuts, hard crackers) and sticky foods (toffees, gum). With aligners there are no restrictions — they're removed for eating.
How long do you wear retainers after removal?
At minimum, as long as you wore the braces. We often recommend keeping them for life (it's a thin wire on the inside, unnoticeable) — as insurance against the teeth shifting back to their original position.
